正常时,细胞质中的糖原分支酶 (GBE1) 与糖原颗粒结合,将末端α(1,4)葡萄糖片段转移到正在生长的肝和肌肉糖原分子上,形成α(1,6)分支。在缺乏 GBE1 活性的情况下,所有正常存在糖原的组织中都会形成具有较长α(1,4)链和较少分支点的异常淀粉样样糖原。该疾病的临床表现具有异质性:与 little 或无酶活性的错义或无义突变相关,可导致进行性肝病或神经肌肉疾病。

Regulation of gene expression by Hypoxia-inducible Factor HIF-alpha (HIF1A, HIF2A (EPAS1), HIF3A) is translocated to the nucleus, possibly by two pathways: importin 4/7 (Chachami et al. 2009) and importin alpha/beta (Depping et al. 2008). Once in the nucleus HIF-alpha heterodimerizes with HIF-beta (ARNT) (Wang et al. 1995, Jiang et al. 1996, Tian et al. 1997, Gu et al. 1998, Erbel et al. 2003) and recruits CBP and p300 to promoters of target genes (Ebert and Bunn 1998, Kallio et al. 1998, Ema et al. 1999, Gu et al. 2001, Dames et al. 2002, Freedman et al. 2002).
