从头（Kennedy 途径）合成的磷脂酰胆碱（PC）涉及将胆碱（Cho）磷酸化为磷酸胆碱（PCho），随后与胞苷三磷酸（CTP）结合形成 CDP-胆碱（CDP-Cho）。二酰甘油（DAG）和 CDP-胆碱（CDP-ETA）随后形成 PC。或者，PC 也可以通过磷脂酰乙醇胺（PE）由磷脂酰乙醇胺 N-甲基转移酶（PEMT）甲基化形成（Henneberry 等 2002；Wright 和 McMaster 2002）。

Synthesis of PC De novo (Kennedy pathway) synthesis of phosphatidylcholine (PC) involves phosphorylation of choline (Cho) to phosphocholine (PCho) followed by condensing with cytidine triphosphate (CTP) to form CDP-choline (CDP-Cho). Diacylglycerol (DAG) and CDP-ETA together then form PC. Alternatively, PC is formed when phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is methylated by phosphatidylethanolamine N-methyltransferase (PEMT) (Henneberry et al. 2002; Wright & McMaster 2002).
