NFE2L2 调控的 ER 应激相关基因子通路。激活转录因子 4（ATF4）是一种应激诱导的转录因子，在癌细胞中经常上调。ATF4 控制表达一系列适应性基因，使细胞能够耐受缺氧或氨基酸限制等应激条件。然而，在持续应激条件下，ATF4 会促进凋亡的发生。ATF4 还已知在 NSCLC 中调节丝氨酸和甘氨酸的生物合成。
