碳酸酐酶可逆地催化二氧化碳的水合反应,直接产生碳酸氢根和质子,绕过了碳酸酸的生成(参考 Lindskog 1997, Breton 2001, Esbaugh and Tufts 2006, Boron 2010, Gilmour 2010)。碳酸酐酶将水去质子化生成锌羟基基团和质子,该质子通过碳酸酐酶中的组氨酸或谷氨酸残基转移至外部缓冲分子。羟基基团在活性位点与二氧化碳反应生成碳酸氢根。水分子取代碳酸氢根,反应循环重新开始。目前人类已知有 12 种活性碳酸酐酶。

Adrenoceptors The adrenoceptors (adrenergic receptors) are targets for the catecholamines adrenaline (epinephrine) and noradrenaline (norepinephrine). These receptors are widespread in the body and binding of catecholamines produces a sympathetic response ('flight-or-fight response') resulting in increased heart rate, pupil dilation and energy mobilization amongst other responses. There are three major types of adrenoceptor, alpha1, alpha2 and beta. Each type is thought to have three subtypes; alpha1 (1A,1B,1D), alpha2 (2A,2B,2C) and beta (1,2,3) (Bylund DB et al, 1994).
