Ub C 末端水解酶 (UCH) 家族的 DUB 是硫蛋白酶，其 N 端具有催化结构域，有时后面跟着 C 端延伸，介导蛋白质 - 蛋白质相互作用。人类有四种 UCH DUB (UCH-L1, UCH-L3, UCH37/UCH-L5 和 BAP1)，可分为较小的 UCH DUB (UCH-L1 和 UCH-L3)，它们从泛素 C 端切割小离去基团 (Larsen et al. 1998)，以及较大的 UCH DUB (UCH37 和 BAP1)，它们可以解聚多 Ub 链 (Misaghi et al. 2009, Lam et al. 1997)。

UCH proteinases DUBs of the Ub C-terminal Hydrolase (UCH) family are thiol proteases that have an N-terminal catalytic domain sometimes followed by C-terminal extensions that mediate protein-protein interactions. Humans have four UCH DUBs (UCH-L1, UCH-L3, UCH37/UCH-L5, and BAP1) that can be divided into the smaller UCH DUBs (UCH-L1 and UCH-L3), which cleave small leaving groups from the C-terminus of ubiquitin (Larsen et al. 1998), and the larger UCH DUBs (UCH37 and BAP1), which can disassemble poly-Ub chains (Misaghi et al. 2009, Lam et al. 1997).
