在缺氧条件下，由于缺氧诱导转录因子（HIFs）直接转录调控 PTK6 基因，导致 PTK6 水平升高。PTK6 蛋白水平在缺氧条件下以 HIF 无关的方式迅速稳定。此外，已知一种未知的 E3 连接体在正常氧条件下对 PTK6 进行泛素化修饰。

PTK6 Expression Levels of PTK6 increase under hypoxic conditions due to direct transcriptional regulation of PTK6 gene by hypoxia inducible transcription factors (HIFs) (Regan Anderson et al. 2013). PTK6 protein levels are also rapidly stabilized in hypoxic conditions in a HIF-independent manner (Pires et al. 2014). It has also been shown that PTK6 is ubiquitinated in normoxic conditions by a so far unknown E3 ligase (Pires et al. 2014).
