线粒体中的 rRNA 加工。线粒体核糖体包含编码在线粒体基因组中并由长 H 链转录本加工产生的 16S rRNA (大亚基) 和 12S rRNA (小亚基)。由核编码并在线粒体基质中作用的酶对 12S RNA 的 5 个核苷酸和 16S rRNA 的 4 个核苷酸进行修饰 (reviewed in Van Haute et al. 2015)。

rRNA processing in the mitochondrion Mitochondrial ribosomes contain 16S rRNA (large subunit) and 12S rRNA (small subunit) that are encoded in the mitochondrial genome and produced by processing of a long H strand transcript (reviewed in Van Haute et al. 2015). Enzymes encoded in the nucleus and acting in the mitochondrial matrix modify 5 nucleotides in the 12S RNA and 4 nucleotides in the 16S rRNA (reviewed in Van Haute et al. 2015).
