自噬是程序性细胞死亡的一种独特途径，主要用于清除受损的细胞器或无用蛋白。由于结核分枝杆菌（Mtb）破坏了吞噬体膜，它必须抑制自噬过程，以确保在细胞内最大程度的复制后再退出细胞（Jo 2013）。

Suppression of autophagy Autophagy, a distinct pathway of programmed cell death, is used by the phagocyte primarily to eradicate damaged cell organelles or unused proteins. As Mtb damages the phagosomal membrane it has to block autophagy processes to ensure maximum replication before exit from the cell (Jo 2013).
