流感是一种由流感病毒感染引起的传染性呼吸道疾病。甲型流感病毒负责引起每年的季节性流行和全球性的周期性大流行。由禽流感病毒通过流感病毒之间的基因重配产生的新型病毒株可引起大流行。两种表面糖蛋白HA和NA形成病毒血清学不同型的基础。先天免疫系统通过多种机制识别入侵的病毒。病毒非结构蛋白NS1是一种多功能毒力因子,干扰IFN介导的抗病毒反应。它通过阻断转录因子(如NF-kappa B和IRF3)的激活来抑制IFN的产生。NS1还抑制IFN诱导的抗病毒基因的表达。PB1-F2蛋白是另一种毒力因子,诱导感染细胞的凋亡,导致危及生命的支气管炎。

Influenza is a contagious respiratory disease caused by influenza virus infection. Influenza A virus is responsible for both annual seasonal epidemics and periodic worldwide pandemics. Novel strains that cause pandemics arise from avian influenza virus by genetic reassortment among influenza viruses and two surface glycoproteins HA and NA form the basis of serologically distinct virus types. The innate immune system recognizes invaded virus through multiple mechanisms. Viral non-structural NS1 protein is a multifunctional virulence factor that interfere IFN-mediated antiviral response. It inhibits IFN production by blocking activation of transcription factors such as NF-kappa B and IRF3. NS1 further inhibits the activation of IFN-induced antiviral genes. PB1-F2 protein is another virulence factor that induce apoptosis of infected cells, which results in life-threatening bronchiolitis.
